My favorite handmade dish

   My favorite homemade dish is Miso soup which my mother made. My mother makes miso soup every morning. She is good at cooking, so her homemade dishes are very good and I like all of them. I want to be a women who is good at cooking like my mother. So recently I learn how to cook from my mother. I tried miso soup 2 days ago, Its taste was pretty well, but I took many times. I want to make it in short time someday.

   The second of my favorite my mother's handmade dish is grill dishes. She tried to cook many kind of dishes. I like Japanese dishes, but I like Italian. I often orderd her to cook Italian dishes.

   My mother also makes bread in her holiday. When we lived in Fukuoka, she went to school of bread. Now she doesn't have enough time to make bread, but when I was a child attending kindergarten she often made breads in the morning. This is also my favorite memory.

   Someday if I became mother, I would want to be good mother like my mother.

My favorite memory of November

   My favorite memory of November is what I went to Tokyo with my best friends. I have 5 best friends, one of my best friend lives in Tokyo for 2 years. I have known her for 10 years. When we were elementary school student, we made friends. When we were elementary school student, we went to same swimming school and when we were junior high school student, we belonged to same club. Last summer vacation, she came back to Kumamoto and stayed my house. And we promised that I would go to Tokyo next year. So last month I went to Tokyo to meet her. While I visited in Tokyo, I went to Tokyo Disney Sea and Tyofu and Shinjuku with her. We could make good memories with her.


  And in this trip, I met my other best friends. One of friend lives in Tokyo, so while I visited there I stayed her house. I have known them for 5 years, we were same classmate in high school. They are very very funny girls and kind. We went to Tokyo Disney Land, Tokyo Sky Tree, Asakusa and Shibuya and so on. I could make a lot of wonderful memories.
  

   Some day I want to go to Tokyo to meet my best friends.

MR5: Much Ado About Nothing

This movie made based on a comedy of Shakespeare. It is a work that was created more than 400 years ago. I like this movie, because there are a lot of thrilling scenes in this film so it was enjoyable. I think that this movie’s key point is to eavesdrop on other people’s conversation.

 

My favorite scene of eavesdropping is the beginning of Benedick and Beatrice’s love. Before they eavesdropped on the rumors from Don Pedro, they often fought when they met. One day, Don Pedro thought that Benedick and Beatrice are bound together by love. So he started a rumor that Beatrice loves Benedick knowing that Benedick would overhear. Benedick swallowed the rumor and he began to fall in love her. And Don Pedro tried to do same type of rumor for Beatrice. And she also swallowed the rumor and she began to fall in love with him. It was a funny story, and they realized the even though the love was just a rumor but they did love each other.

 

This movie’s main characters are Claudio and Hero, and he loved her at first sight. The day before the wedding, Claudio witnessed the scene of her affair. For that reason, he hurt Hero’s feeling in their wedding. But she was not actually having an affair; it was a trap by Don John. Don John wanted to break up their wedding ceremony. Hero passed out because Claudio humiliated her in their wedding. The father was suspicious of exchange of them. And he has just thought of a good point way to bring them together again. They have a happy ending, thanks to his strategy. When they came to a happy end, I was very thrilled.

 

After I watched this movie, I think that we should not believe the rumors. To believe things that only people see for themselves is important. And it is the most important thing that we have to believe our important people first.

Minnesota life ~7.26~

   This morning, I got up at 6:00 nad took a shower and ate cereals and banana. And my host mother took me to the coffe shop which is our meeting place. While I rode a car, I tried to talk to her. My english was not good english, but she understood my questions and answered them. The time was very important for me, this is the practice time.

   Today, Paul Reasone would come our class, but he didn't come. So we played the spel game! We divided the classemate into two teams, and competed. My team won the game. The game was very fun! Afternoon, we discuss with American college students. They had own opinion and difinite dream. And they study hard for their dream! One of the student want to be a statesman and she study political science now. Our program staff's member, Katie, want to teach English in Japan. And she participate this program to learn Japanese. So they were very cool. I have to study hard for my dream like them. In a free time, we sat a sofa and watched the You tube. It was a funny movie in Japan.

   Today's dinner was a chicken hamburger and tomato pasta, a corn, a melon and so on. When we ate dinner, mother was in disagreement with older sister. I couldn't understand why they quarreled. Suddenly mother asked me, "What do you think, Manami?" So I was in trouble and said, "Sorry, I don't understand"

　　　After dinner, I and mother went to street stalls because I have to buy a sandwich for tomorrow's lunch. But when we arrived there, all of sangwich were sold out. So we gave up to buy it and went to the free concert in shopping mall. There were a lot of people like a festival. And there staff distributed chips and water for spectators. And I could get them. The free concer was very good! Singer's voice and guiter were agreeable to the ear. It was very interesting!

And they started to be afraid! Who did this ? Did the midnight ghosts do? They stared to solve a riddle.

 

 

 

 I don't believe the ghosts, but if I was Adam or Sally, perhaps I was cring. I don't like horror movies and story, but this book is not fearful! Please try to read this book.

Minnesota life ~7.25~

 

 

   I got up at 6:50 and took shower and ate breakfast. Every time moo which is our pet, cat, aimed my breakfast. After ate breakfast, my host sister took me to the coffee shop. Today we would go to the mall of America, so I was looking forward to going there!


   We arrived at Bethel university and took a home room in the class. After that we took a college bus and went to the mall of America! Mall of America is a very big shopping mall and there are church,  amusement park, aquarium and hotel and so on. It is the most biggest shopping mall in America.

 

   At first we went to the amusement park, but we didn't know how to take attractions. So we gave up riding on them and went to clothing store. I was surprised that the clerk wore a perfume to clothes for sale. I wanted to buy clothes but I couldn't find good cloth.  I wanted to buy souvenir for my family amd friends, so I bought good fragrance soaps for my family. They were little expensive for me. And I went to the Minnesooota(?) which is souvenir shop of Minnesota, and I bought two cups, 12 pens and magnet for my family and friends. I like baseball, so I wanted to buy something to goods of Twins. I went to the Twins shop, the  shop held a sale at the moment. So I could buy a Twins parka and the uniform at a 30% discount! I was lucky!!!


   Lunch time, we wanted to eat Japanese foods, so we went to "Little Tokyo" which is Japanese restaurant. But I think it was Chinese retaurant! There restaurant's seasoning was Chinese food, so we were disappointed. And after lunch, I wanted to drink tea, so I went to the tea shop and I ordered green tea. But the taste was very very bud! Because it was too sweet for me.  I thought that shopping is very fun but it need stamina. I was very tired.


   At 15:15, we left mall of America and back home! Tonight dinner was drilled chiken and a lot of fruits! They were very healthy and very good!

    Today was very good day!

Minnesota life ~7.25.2012~

   I got up at 6:30 and I ate same cereals with cat. The cat, Moomoo likes people. He every morning aims my breakfast. So I have to run away from moomoo. After I ate breakfast, my host sister took me to the coffee shop. We gathered and got into Jeff's van and talked about daily happenings. Their talk were very funny! In an instant, we arrived college.

   In class, A Japanese in America, Naomi talked us about America that she felt. She came to the U.S. since she was 20 and she married American. She met her husband in same college. she was very funny and kind person. Her talk was very interesting and useful. 

   Afternoon, Linda talked us about international and intercultural health. She is professor of Nursing.
She taught us about jet lag, and I could learn about it and I thought that I need to drink a lot of water and a lot of sleep.

   After that we tried cooperative games with professors. We played a lot of games, and competed with 4 teams. I was in the orange team, and our team became a champion. It was very fun. And last, we played Bethel Scavenger Hunt. I didn't know where is it, so I asked Bethel's student and teachers, "Where is the～?". They were very kind and told me. I could know about Bethel university.
 
   Came back home, my host older sister took me to near lake. It took 20 minutes from our house. While rode her car, I asked her some questions and we were singing American popular song. Of course I didn't know the song, but I could dance with the music. It was very fun time. The lake is big like sea, and we swam and talked about her boyfriend. After that, we backed home and ordered pizza and pasta. The pizza was very very big!! I have never seen the size. They were very yummy! But American size was too big for me.

　　I will talk about my favorite Christmas memory. When I was a child, I put the letter which I wrote about the present which I wanted on the table and slept on the Christmas Eve. And a present was put by the pillow when I woken up on the next morning. But it was not same as the present which I asked for all the time. But the present which Santa Claus gave me every Christmas were everything my favorite things. When I grow up and understood that Santa Claus was my father, I appreciated him. Every time, I wrote a request letter on the day before to get a present from my father. So every time he didn't have time to look for the present which I wanted. But every time my father thought about my favorite thing and presented it for me. I still keep the present which my father gave me as Santa Claus.

   My favorite recent memory is to have traveled with close friends in Tokyo. From October 31 to November 5, I went to Tokyo to meet my close friends. Because one of my close friend lives in Tokyo, so we gathered there. I have 3 close friends, when I was a high school student, I met them. We were same class and in high school days, we always spent together. I laughed every day when with them. And we went for a school trip together, our group went to Nara, Kyoto and Tokyo. When we entered there, we remembered the school trip five years ago. Even if the time of five years passed, our good relation didn't change at all. I love them very much! and I want to travel to a lot   of place in Japan and foreign country. When we find employment are decided, we are going to go to Europe as a graduation trip.

They were very interesting for me. This year, she appeared the movie "GIRL". The theme of this  movie is various way of life of "Woman", and I had a lot of scenes to sympathize with this movie.

   My favorite season is spring, because my birthday is April and the season is not too hot and not too cold, so I think that spring is the best season. I recommend you to go to Kumamoto castle in April, perhaps you can see wonderful cherry blossom there. In April, there are a lot of people enjoying the cherry blossoms.

   And spring is also the season that we can meet new friends and new coworkers, new people. Entrance ceremonys were hold in April. So the season, a lot of people are in high spirits. And many people start their new life, for example a person who was transferred, a peson who started new

   From end of April to May, The week is Golden week! They are big straight holidays and many people don't go work and school, they go to travel! Every year many people go abroad to trip. But I have never traveled abroad, so someday I want to go to Hawaii in the golden week.

My favorite attraction

   My favorite attraction is the space mountain in Tokyo Disney land. 2 weeks ago, I went to Tokyo to meet my friend. And we went to Tokyo Disney land. Before I came this time, I have been there two times. But when I went to their last time, I was 16 years old. So this is third time to visit. Before I visited in T.D.L this time, I have never tried to ride the space mountain. Because I'm not good at thrilling attraction. But this time, my friends said, "Let's try to ride Manami!" So I tried to ride one, I don't like roller coaster but I like it very much. The attraction moved very fast. So it was really exciting. This attraction is very popular and many people lined up. We liked it, so lined up 2 times. 

   There are a lot of thrilling attraction and cute attraction. I rode the honey hunt of pooh for the first time. This attraction is very cute attraction. While we were in the attraction we could smell of honey. And pooh was very cute!! I enjoyed it and if I go to T.D.L, I want to ride it again.

The theme of this movie is a forbidden love. I watched the first love of Twilight, and we can know that encounter of Bella and Edward in this series.

Bella has moved to the town to live with her father, and she met Edward at her new school. When she met Edward at the first, he avoided her. So she wanted to know why he was avoiding her. One day, Bella was almost killed in an accident, but Edward saved her. But at that time, Bella felt a sense of uncertainty about Edward because he came to help her too fast and he stopped the car with his bare hands. And she started to look for what he is. After that Bella knew that he is a vampire and then she was surprised but she fall in love with Edward.

There are a lot of thrilling scenes in this movie. My favorite scene is the baseball scene. One day Bella was invited to play baseball by Edward. And she played baseball with vampires. Their play has changed a little and was fun. For example they don’t use gloves, they use only their hands, and their defense and running is also faster. But when they played baseball joyfully, some hostile vampires appeared. Edward and his family protected Bella, because they wanted her life. They like human blood and they kill human. But one of vampire noticed that Bella is a human. Edward took Bella to get away from them. This scene is very thrilling and I like this scene. And I like the scene too where the family of Edward cooperates, and protects Bella. They are very cool.

Twilight has four movies now. I have not watched them yet, so I want to watch all of the series soon. In the next story, Jacob, who is Bella’s close friend, gets in the story, so it will become more and more interesting.

Tokyo ~first day~

  From October 31 to November 5, I went to Tokyo to travel. My friends live in Tokyo and I visited their house.  First day, Wednesday, I got up at six in the morning and I left home at 6:40. My friend, Marina and her father came my home and her father send us to the Kumamoto airport. We took a plane at 7:40 and arrived in Toky at 9:20. We gathered friend in Osaka; Mizuki, and we went to Shibuya to meet friend in Tokyo; Mami. But when we arrived in Shibuya, Mami didn't leave her home. So we went to the department store; Hikarie, and we went to bathroom. We found the machine there, it can remove pollen and dust by wind pressure. Also we push the deodorization button, we can deodorize clothes. While we were waiting Mami, we enjoyed the machine. It was very fun for us. But Mami's house is far from Shibuya, so she took a many time to come, so we moved other department store. We would go to Shibuya109, but we found chocolate shop on our way to shibuya109. We decided to go to shop and wait her in the shop. I ordered a croissant, Chocolate dip and chocolate frappuccino. They were so good! and we enjoyed the time.

   When we finished to eat them, Mami called us and she arrived in Shibuya. So we gathered and went to Shinzyuku, because we wanted to go to Tsurutontan to eat udon. The restaurant is very famous and popular, so many people were waiting and we had to wait about 20 minutes. There udon are very big size and a lot of menu. I chose duck udon and my friends chose cream sauce udon like carbonara. My duck meatball was good taste but piece of duck meat was not good at. But there udon were very good, so I want to go there again.

   After that we went to Asakusa, and tried to ride a rickshaw. I rode it for the first time and my friends too. Our staff of rickshaw was very funny man. And while we rode it, we were laughing all the time. And he taught us Asakusa's history, we could learn about there. It was very amazing time. I want to ride again.

   And we walked to Tokyo Sky Tree from Asakusa. It took about 20 minutes. Tokyo Sky Tree was very very high. Before we went to it, we went to ice cream shop, cold stone. This shop is very popular ice cream shop, and there were a lot of people. When we went there, it hold Halloween fair. So we chose a Halloween ice cream which was limited time. It was very yummy!! It taste pumpkin and chocolate. I like it very much, because I like pumpkin. After we ate, we went to Sky Tree. There were many many people and I saw foreign tourists. There was very hot spot, I thought that. We had to wait 20 minutes and went up to the observatory. We could see a very beautiful panoramic views. The views were I have never seen. I wanted to show it to my parents. If I go to Tokyo again, I want to go to Sky Tree again!

   After we enjoyed seeing beautiful views, we went to Shinzyulu to eat supper. We ate Korean food in Ton-chan. This restaurant was very popular among women, so we had to wait 20 minutes outside. We ate Samugyopusaru and Chinese-style fried rice etc. They were very good!

   And we went to Shibuya to take our suit case. But day was Halloween! So the station of Shibuya area were crowded with costumed people. I watched a pirate and nurses, anime's character, zombie, many kind of costumed people. I could feel the day of Halloween. And we went to Mami's house. We went to bed at 2 a.m. I had very good time!

Frog and Toad, they are very good friends. But one day, when Toad went to Frog's house, he found a note on the door. The note said, " Dear Toad, I am not at home. I went out. I want to be alone." After Toad read it, he was shocked and worried him. And he decied to look for Frog. He thought that I will cheer him up. And he made sandwiches and a picher of ice tea for him. He went to the places where Frog is likely to go, but he was not anywhere. When he went to the river, he could find Frog and he shouted his name. But Frog was too far away to hear.   My favorite color is orange, because the color makes me happy and cheerful. So when I buy something, I look for orange color and choose the color. Last week I went to the socks shop and I bought orange color socks, and I put on the socks today. They were very cute socks, and I like them.

  But when I buy clothes, I choose white color better than orange. Because white color is easy to match any clothes. But white color's dirt is noticeable, so it is troublesome to wash.

  When it comes to winter, I want to buy warm color clothes. The other days, I went to the department store and I found a coat. The coat's color is very cute orange, and I want to buy it but then I didn't have enough money to buy it. So I had to give up. Someday I will have enough money and go to the store to buy the coat.

  Last week, I went to Tokyo and I went to the Harajuku with my friends. And I bought a slole which is orange check. It is very cute and my friends said cute too. I could do good shopping!

Minnesota life ~7.24.2012~

    Today I got up at 6:30, every morning I have to get up early, so I am always sleepy. Today also host sister took me to the meeting places. In a van, we talked a lot of things, for example what they did with their host family yesterday and what they ate at house, everything. The time was fun for me, I like the time to talk with my friends.

    Today, a Japanese women who live in America and got married American came to school and told us about America that she felt. She was very funny and kind us. She told me that what Americans like Japanese food, and it is Karaage. Her talks was very interesting and good for us.

   

   After that we took lunch, and today's menu was hamberger and tomato soup and salada. After lunch, Linda Anderson talked us about international and intercultual health. She is professor of nursing, and I learned about jet lag. I have to drink a lot of water and sleep a lot. She said that jet lag will continue for two weeks.

   After that we tried cooperative games with proffessor Joel and Linda. we played a lot of games, and competed with 4 teams. I was in the orange team, and our team became a champion. It was very fun!! After the games we played Bethel Scavenger Hunt. I didn't know where is it, so I asked Bethel's student and teachers. They were very kind and told me to the place. And I could know about Bethel university.

   Come back home, I was doing homework in my room. Then older sister knocked my room, and she invited me to go to lake. And we prepared and went to lake near house, it took about 20 minutes. While we riding in the car, we were singing and dancing together! Arrived at lake, we swam and ate American sweets lying on the beach.

   At night, my host mother and brother had a job and younger sister went to her friends home. So I and older sister ordered supper. We ate big pizza and two pastas and fruits. I was full and I couldn't eat all.

Minnesota life ~7.23.2012~

   Today I got up at 6:30 and ate American cereals and homemade juice which was not used chemical seasoning. They were very good. After that my host sister took me the Caribou coffee shop, because the coffee shop is our meeting place. We gathered and went to the Bethel university by Jeff's car. 

   First, we went to the Bethel college tour with Joel and took ESL class.  Bethel university is very big and we could see the wonderful natural view, there is a big lake in the university and the university encircled by the natural. It is a very beautiful college.  After that we ate lunch, today's menu were tacos and salad. There cafeteria is beautiful and large.

    Afternoon, we took a school bus and went to the Mississippi river and rode a river boat. We enjoyed a river cruising. There were a lot of tourist.

    When I came back in home, I talked my host mother about my family and different from American house and Japanese house, and Japanese sweet and meal. And she told me about her job and host brother and sisters. Many house of America have a basement and there does not build of apartments so much, because America is a large country and they have a lot of ground. So many people in America build own big house and they have a large yard. I live in apartment in Japan, so I showed pictures of my house for my host mother, and she said "it is so cool"

     Today's supper is pasta and bread and fruits, my host family likes fruits so mach. I enjoyed American life!

One day, from Devon’s provocation that was too much, his university and a rival school got into a fight during the game. And it was found out that Devon didn’t read musical scores, so he had lied to get admission. So Lee who is director of A&T University’s marching club was enraged and Devon had to leave the marching club. But Devon wanted to continue playing the drums, so he visited the rival school which scouted him and he told his intention to transfer. Then the director of the rival school, Wade, gave him a condition instead of admitting him. The condition was that Devon has to tell Wade about A&T University club’s covert plans. Devon was disappointed with the director and he woke up. Devon was changed his attitude, and he began to study to music score.

   My favorite scene is when Devon and Sean were reconciled. Sean taught Devon how to read a music score, and Devon attended classes and studied hard. This scene had no exchange of dialogue, it had only music. I like the constitution, and I was moved.

    Devon grown as a human and suddenly played in the drum line of the finals. Through the story I felt Devon’s growth as a human. And this movie told me the importance of cooperation and mind to value friends. Nobody can live alone.

My favorite musician is FUNKY MONKEY BABYS. They are 3 member in the group, the member is funky Kato and Monkichi and DJ Kemikal. Their songs are very good； they sing songs of many types. My favorite their songs are Kokuhaku and Atohitotsu. When I was high school student, I belonged in baseball club and I was care taker in the club. Atohitotsu was the theme song of our last year's tournament. So there is a particularly memorable song for me. Their songs make me happy, cheer up and bittersweet. I like the words of their songs. Last year I wanted to go to their live, but I couldn't. So This year I want to go to their live.

   My favorite animals are dogs. I have never had a dog, so someday I want to have a dog. The reason why I like dogs, because dogs are very cute and clever. When I stayed in Minnesota, my host family has a dog. Her name is Grace and she is very gentle and clever. When I was in home, I always played with Grace. My favorite kind of dogs are toy poodle. Because they are small and cute. they look like stuffed animals. So if I could have a dog, I would want to have a toy poodle.

   Favorite animals are cats next to dogs. Cats live selfish and they are carefree. so I like their life and personality. My host family also has a cat. His name is Mufasa and he thinks he is king of the house. And when I was eating a breakfast, he often robbed me of my breakfast. Byt he is very cute cat! So I like Mufasa.

   I chose this book because Halloween is near. There are three types of ghosts' story. My recommend story is third story. One day a boy, Glen was watching TV. Suddenly the set made a funny fizzing noise and the screen went black. And his father brought an ancient TV set, and they used the TV. Glen's parents had no problems Watching the TV. But the first time that Glen  tuned in, something strange happened. He wanted to watch a Cartoon club, but a man in strange clothes appeared on the screen and his song and talk was very funny. He was watching the TV  everyday. One day the man came out from the screen. And Glen recommended the man to apply to the audition. If you wanted to know this ending, please read this book!

      There are three stories. And I recommend first story. Because first story is funny.  This story's main characters are small gnome and an old man, Harold. He was a happy farmer, until the day a gnome arrived. Harold met a lazy gnome, and the gnome wanted to get half of everything Harold grow. And Harold agreed but decided he would trick the gnome. This story is funny that their deceive each other.

      In addition to this story, there are two more interesting story. So it is a book to enjoy three times in one book. So please try to read this book. Thank you.

BR2-1: Stories of Giants

    What do you think about Giants? Are they scary? or are they kind? I have a image that they are very strong and scary and fierce. According to this book there are a lot of different giants. For example there are naughty ones, wild ones, who liked nothing better than to fight...and sad ones, kind ones, who helped grannies. I think that giants look like people!

   There are 3 chapters, and I like second story of Giants. A boy went on a trip alone. Before he go on a trip, he was taught from his father about a giant who lived in black rock. But a boy forgot the warning, and he met a giant.  

   This story is excited, so I recommend to read. Please try to read this book.

My favorite place

   My favorite place is Hokkaido. Of course I like Kumamoto, but If you go to trip, I recommend Hokkaido.

   Last year, I went to Hokkaido to family trip. During summer, there are a lot of beautiful flowers and green trees and beautiful scenery. And we can eat fresh corns, they are so sweet. Hokkaido has a lot of good foods, for example we can eat fresh seafood. When I visited in Hokkaido, I ate Kaisendon, it was very good and a lot of seafood. If I could go to Hokkaido, I would want to eat Kaisendon. I like ramen, especially I like tonkotsu ramen. But when I visited in Hokkaido, I tried to eat miso ramen. It was a plainer taste better than tonkotsu ramen. But I like the taste. Also I tried to eat a soft cream which taste lavender. They were very good! I want to go to Hokkaido again.

Movie Review1

  This movie was made by Walt Disney Pictures in 2009. This story is moving and also funny. This movie’s main character is Carl. He is 78 year-old man, and he is very stubborn. When he was a child, he liked adventures and played in an unoccupied house. One day he met a girl, Ellie, who also liked adventures. They became friends and every day played adventures in the house. They grew up and got married. They had a dream that they would go to Paradise Falls and this dream became a promise. They saved money for their dream to come true. But they got in troubles many times, and they had to destroy their savings. And they aged, and his wife, Ellie got sick. Ellie died and she couldn’t go to the Paradise Falls. So Carl deeply regretted that he couldn’t take her to there. And he decided to go there by himself with their house full of memories.




  The opening of this movie, it describes Carl and Ellie from their first encounter to parting. The 10 minutes in the opening scene was my favorite scene. This scene doesn’t have voices, it only has music. The scene moved the crowd to tears. When I watched it for the first time, I cried at this scene. It is a scene that it very heart warming. Of course other scenes are so good and they have funny scenes and moving scenes too. But I recommend the opening scene.



  The beginning of this movie review, I said that Carl was stubborn man. But until Ellie died, he wasn’t stubborn and he was a very kind man. He went on a trip by his flying house and he met a boy in the sky. The boy’s name is Russell, he is very friendly and funny. They go to the Paradise Falls together by a strange chance. While Carl spent time with Russell, his personality changed back to when he was spending time with Ellie. Through the trip, Curl regains himself.



From children to adults can enjoy this movie. I like this movie too.

  I arrived in Minnesota in America. We took 11 hours by plane, the fright was so tired. Because I couldn't sleep well. This home stay program was my first time to visit abroad. When I arrived in Minneapolis airport, I was uneasy. Because my English was poor, so I was uneasy that I can talk to my host family. But when I met my host mother in airport and we hugged and talked, my uneasiness disappeared.

  My host mother is very active mother. Her life is very healthy, She often go to gym and she likes cycling. And she often eat vegetables so she makes field and she makes vegetables there. And she cooks to use the vegetable. My favorite vegetable which she made is tomato! It is so sweet! But my host brother and sisters don't like tomato and all vegetables!! So only I and my host mother ate her vegetables.

  During we were going to host house, my host mother talked me about her family. She is single mother and she has 4 children. She has 24 and 22 year-old brothers and 19 and 18 year-old sisters. 24 year-old brother is very friendly and he lives in next to Minnesota, so I met him one time. 23 year-old brother is very shy, and he is interested in Japanese anime. He asked me about Japanese anime, but I don't know it, so I couldn't answer. He often is in his room. 19 year-old sister is very sexy girl. She has tattoo and many pierced. She likes animals and she has own horse. Her dream is to take care of animal. So she goes to school for learning about animal. 18 year-old sister is very kind to everyone. And she is very smart and she goes to school for free. She likes Korean TV drama and music.

  First day I went to welcome party with my host family and host mother's boyfriend. Our Japanese student were introduced about Japanese culture. Our group was introduced about Japanese snacks. Japanese "Konpeito" was the most populer snacks. My host sisters like "High-chew" is the best. Through this party, we opened up to each other.

  My host sisters are very friendly and they were singing and dancing in a car. So when we went back home from welcome party, I was dancing with them. It was very fun!!

  First day was very nervous and tired because I was jet lag, but I could make friends many people, so the day was very happy day.

Something special I did during this vacation

  Something special I did during this vacation was to go to America. I went to Minnesota for a month. And I experienced home stay. I stayed Hoskins family. Hoskins family is 5 people, mother and 2 brothers and 2 sisters. My host family is very kind and friendly.They took me to Great Lakes. It took 2 hours and it was hard drive. But I talk to my host family, so it was fun too. And Great Lakes were very big and like ocean. It was so beautiful and there were many Tourists. I met French couple and German family. So there is good sightseeing area and there were many restaurants and clothes stores and history museum.

  During I stayed in America, I went to Bethel University. It was so big and there is lake. Bethel University's teachers are very friendly and everyday one of teacher taught us American joke. The joke made us laugh. We went to many place and could experienced. I tried horse riding and canoe. These experiences are my great treasure.

Good and Bad point about summer

   Summer's good point is that it has long vacation. So I could go to America for a month, and I could meet my high school friends. I went to many places with them.

  And Summer has many festival and we can see fire workes in each places. And we can do BBQ. I like it, because I can feel summer and it is very fun. Other good points are that we can swim in the sea. I like swimming and sea. During summer, there are so many people in the sea.

  Summer's bad point is too hot to live. When I am in building, many building are cool because they use cooler. But when I leave building, outside is very hot. I don' like hot better than cold.

   During this vacation, I went to America. So I had many time to talk to foreign people. So during I visited in America, I tried to speak my host mother, sisters, brother and their friends and teachers. When I had questions, I asked them as soon as possible.    This term I changed 3 classes. I will take carrier design class and affair of British class, history of Japan class. Because I am interested in Japanese history. My summer vacation plan

  My summer vacation plan was to go to America for home stay program for a month. I went to Minnesota in America from July 22 to August 20. Through this home stay program, I could learn American life style and their thinking. And I could make many friends in America and Tokyo.

   My host younger sister is 18 year-old, and she has many church friends. And she took me to many places with her good friends. I went to Twins game, movie, bowling and party with them. And old host sister is 19 year-old, and she took me to near lake. We went there and swam many times. So I could make many friends. 

  After I came back in Japan, I went to my grandparent’s house, because I want to give American souvenir for my grandparents and my cousins. When I gave their, they were very glad. And my grandmother asked me many questions about America. So I showed her a lot of pictures which I took in America. 

End of August, I met many same high school friends. And we went Yatsushiro and Ashikita for drive. Other day, we went dinner and bowling, karaoke, and talked a lot! Every day I was very fulfilling.

First episode of a foreign drama

My favorite foreign drama is glee. “glee” mean is not only chorus, also set free myself and be delighted. This story is musical and comedy story.

  Main character is glee’s advisor Will Schuester. He is a Spanish teacher and when he was a high school student, he was glee club’s member and he was glee’s star. So he became a teacher and return to his school. He wants to be revival glee club, and he invited new member. However, gathered all members who are not clear-headed although it is good at singing. A too self-conscious girl who dreams a star is Rachel Berry. Plump and diva, African-American girl is Mercedes Jones. A boy who is bullied by friends because he is gay is Kurt Hummel. A boy who rides a wheelchair and wears black glasses is Artie Abrams. And a Korean-American girl who has the habit of stammering is Tina-Cohen-Chang. New glee club started only 5 people. Their group name is New Directions. One day Will schuester heard boy was singing, and his good singing voice. And he decided to invite to the good voice boy. His name is Finn Hudson who was belonged to American football club. Of course Finn refused the invitation, but Will’s strategy and his feelings which he likes singing were moved his mind. And he joined New Directions.

This story’s main is glee’s activity and growth, but Will’s life is contains too. For example it deals with his family’s issue in 1^st story. His wife told a lie which she got pregnant, and she asked him to change his job. She wants him to get a good job better than teacher, for instance an accountant. He refused her offer at first, but finally he consented to her offer because she got pregnant. So he resigned from teacher, and glee club faced a crisis.

 A lot of character appears in this drama. My favorite character is Emma Pillsbury. Will Schuester often consult with her. She is counselor in this high school, and she often gives some advice for glee members. But her advices are mostly rather beside the point. Her action and advices are funny, so I like her.

 And this story deal with member’s relationships, sexuality and social issues. For example it contains religion in love relation. Not only funny drama, also we can learn a lot of things drama.

Umizaru

   Umizaru series are my favorite movies, and last Friday new series started. I want to watch the movie, but I have no time to watch it. So when I will come back in Japan, I want to go to the movie theater. I watched Umizaru the movie series 1 and 2 in movie theater, because movie theater is more powerful better than TV at home.


   Main character is Hideaki Ito, and he performed Marine peace officer's Daisuke. This story is very moving. His growing as a Marine peace officer in this story and his desire which he want to help many people and his job member and his family are very cool and  moved. First series he helped passengers in big ferry accident. And his fiance boarded it too. His fiance is Ai Kato, she performed Kanna. She is fashion designer. She was helped by marine peace officer, but Daisuke was left behind in ferry. And the ferry sank in  the sea. Will is he saved? It was a movie to feel nervous, but very fun.

 Next series he married Kanna and had a son who is a little baby. The day which their wedding anniversary, he had to go and help many people from accident in natural gas's plant. He succeeded to help many people, but he and another marine peace officer and a doctor and a worker and a plant's designer are left in plant. Due to a bad weather, other marine peace officer couldn't help them. Will are they saved? and is Daisuke can celebrate their wedding anniversary with his family?


   I have never watched Umizaru's TV drama, so I want to watch all of them someday. All of Umizaru series are very fun, so I like them. I want to new movie as soon as possible!

   There are  3 pirate's story, and my favorite story is third story. Mein character is Sam Sardine, and he want to be a sailor. As soon as he was old enough, he joined Captain Winkle's ship as a cabin boy. He was pleased at first, but the work was very hard for him, and not enjoy things. One day he told Captain Winkle to give him a proper sailor's job. And Winkle tried to test for Sam, and he passed. And he became guard man who guard the ship's treasure. But the night, he went to sleep and was stolen the treasure. Will he get back the treasure...?

   I heard "Jack and the Beanstalk", but I didn't know detailed so I knew the ending for the first time today. Main character's Jack was very very hungry everyday, his family was very poor. One day he decided to sell his cow. His mother was believed that he will come back to get money. But he didn't take money, he took back only beans. Of course his mother got angry. But next day, the beans grew and became beanstalk. The beanstalk was reaching up to sky, and he started to climb it. Will he be able to eat foods? or become a rich boy?   This book is Usborne Young Reading series. This book is easy to read, so If you are not good at reading in English, I recommend it.

Weekend

   Last Saturday and Monday, I went shopping with my mother. Next week I'm going to go to Minnesota, so I had to get ready for a trip. First I had to buy a bag. I didn't have a good bag, so I bought a bug on sale in PARCO. I could buy it 50% off! I was lucky. Next I bought swimsuit and medicine, T-shirts, pants, cosmetics and souvenir for my host family...I spent a lot of money. But I could get necessary things.


  Last Sunday, after I finished a shopping we went to restaurant, and ate fried pork cutlets. It was very very dericious!  When I was elementary school student, I often went there with my family.

 
  Last Sunday, I had a part time job from 13 o'clock to 18. It was busy time, so I was very tired. But the day, my aunt came my home. So after I finished my job, we went to a beer garden. There were a lot of family and office worker, girl's group. We ate Yakisoba, Gyoza, Kaiheiyaki, Syouronpo, Karaage and salad...and so on. It was good, but the weather was little humid.


   Last Monday, I went shopping with my aunt. She bought a wallet and clothes and cosmetics. She looked happy, so I was happy too.

   Before she backe her home, I and my aunt likes taveling abroad, so we promissed to travel in next spring vacation. I want to go resort area very much!!

My favorite TV program

    My favorite TV program is "Syabekuri 007" Cream stew, Neptune and Tutorial who are 3 groups' comedian appeared in this TV program. Every time, actor and actress, singer, comedian and idol in season come to this program as a guest. And every time 3 groups' all member don't know who is guest.


    Cream stew are Shinya Ueda and Teppei Arita. They are from Kumamoto, and sometimes they speak with a Kumamoto accent and talkes about Kumamoto. I'm hearing their talk, I'm happy and enjoy every time. Because I'm from Kumamoto too and I know the place and mean of Kumamoto accent what they talk.


   Neptune are Jun Nagura, Taizo Harada and Ken Horiuti. Jun Nagura have a family, and he often talks his family, his wife is Marina Watanabe who is actress. He loves her and daughter, his family's talk is very fun. Taizo Harada appears drama too, he is comedian and actor. Recently, he appeared NHK history drama. His acting is very good! He likes a sauna, and he often talks about sauna. Taizo and Teppei are good pair and they every time fun. Ken Horiuti is always comical. He pressured to do his mimicry to guest. His gag is very fun, I like his gug.


   Tutorial are Kazumi Tokui and Mitunori Fukuda. Tokui performed "Tokko-san" who is girl. Some ties she appears, this character is cute and funny. Fukuda is called "Fuku-chan". Last year he suffered from illness and closed his job. And he has lost a lot of weight because of his long illness. But now he recovered from his illness. And the incident is used as a material by their talk.


   My favorite memeber are Taizo and Arita pair. I'm looking foward to watching next Syabekuri007!

Thermaeromae

   I watched the movie "Thermaeromae" with my fiends. I had never read the original, but it was very fun!! I like Hiroshi Abe who is Japanese actor. So I want to watch this movie. He acted the part of a Roman, he has a face with well defined features, so I though that he is really Roman!!


   A lot of cute aged actors appered in this movie, their funny actions made the audience laugh. So to keep a straigh face was difficult for me, and we had a good laugh at it.


   Hot spring is known for Japan, and Japanese public bath is developing. So when he sliped into present  day Japan, he surprised many times. And he was impressed Japanese public bath. He go to present day Japan and from Rome, and he meet a lot of Japanese in present day. Their conversational give and take is very fun.


   Someday the moviewill  start to rent, I want to rent it and watch again.

My favorite actress

 

   My favorite actress is  Satomi Ishihara. She is 25 years old. I knew her 8 years ago, at that time she appeared on "Water Boys 2" and she performed a heroine in the drama. At the time she was a high school student. I saw her for the first time, I though that "What a cute actress she is !"

   



    After that she appeared a lot of dramas. My favorite drama is H2. The drama is youthfulness story. They play baseball and they are aiming at Kousien. Satomi Ishihara performed care taker in her high school's baseball club. I watched this drama, and I though that I wanted to be a care taker in high school. And I belonged to baseball club and I was care taker in high school. 


Recentry, she appeared a detective, and she was very cool! The drama is "The Bull Doctor" I like this drama too.






Her new drama is "Rich man Poor woman" It started 2 weeks ago. Syun Oguri and Saki Aibu appered too in this drama. This is love story, and Satomi performed Chihiro Sawaki who is college student and failed in job hunting 40 times. Syu Oguri performed Toru Hyuga who earns 100 million yen a year. He is very rich man. One day, Chihiro joined his company's briefing session. That is how it all started. Satomi is very cute and Syun Oguri is very cool!! The story is fun and I'm looking foward to watching next story. But next week, I'm going to go to Minnesota so I can't watching. When I will come back in Japan, I watch all together!

Sunday

   Last Sunday I went to Fukuoka with my mother. I went to there to take a Tourism English official approval, and my mother went to there to see my brother.
   We arrived in Fukuoka and looked up restaurant in Hirao. When I was 3~5 year-old, I lived in Hirao. So we went to restaurant which has memories for us. When we lived in Hirao, we often went there. I couldn't remember cleary, but my mother looked happy.


   I said good-bye to my mother in Hirao station, I took a subway and went to Yakuin. I surprised that  half of examinee were old men and women. Through the test, I realized I have to know about Japan. I want to study about Japan at first.


   I finished the test, I went to Tenjin to go shopping. A lot of department store hold sale, so I bought a dress and pants on sale. After that I joined mother and brother and we ate supper. I and brother ate a hamburger steak set meal, mother ate fish dish. They were very good! I want to go there again.


   I and my mother said good-bye to my brother, and we backed home.
